Safety Tips

Like all tires, Techno Écolo tires provide your vehicle’s only contact with the road. To be sure that the tires on your vehicle are safe, follow these simple rules :

Mounting and Demounting

It’s best to leave the mounting and demounting of your tires to professionals, to avoid damage to your tires or to your vehicle. Your tire professional will also take care of rotating your tires according to the wear and your vehicle type to optimize performance and useful life of the tires.

Air Pressure

Often neglected by car owners, maintaining the right tire pressure is in fact essential. The right pressure not only ensures that tires wear uniformly, but also increases road safety, saves substantial amounts of fuel and improves all aspects of driving performance.

So, make sure to regularly check your tire pressure. To do so, the tire should be cold — that is, your vehicle should not have been driven more than five kilometres in the preceding three hours. Use a pressure gauge to check the pressure of each tire. Service stations usually allow customers to use an air compressor for free to adjust their tire pressure.

Load-Carrying Capacity

To avoid flats, never exceed the load-carrying capacity marked on the sidewalls of your tires.
